I'm a Doctor of Human Nutrition and Dietetics with seven years of clinical experience across hospital, community, and digital settings — from senior dietetic roles in Pakistan to NHS work in the UK.
I built Abham Diets because I saw how often good nutrition advice gets lost in cultural translation.
I speak English, Urdu, Punjabi, and Saraiki — and I design plans around the foods you actually eat, not generic templates built for someone else's kitchen.
A selection of feedback from clients I've worked with.
Abida understood my PCOS in a way no other dietitian has. The plan worked with my routine, my culture, and my budget. My cycles regulated within four months.
My HbA1c dropped from 9.2 to 6.8 in six months. She didn't ask me to give up rice — she taught me how to eat it properly. Genuinely life-changing.
During pregnancy I was overwhelmed by conflicting advice. Abida gave me clear, calm guidance trimester by trimester. I felt supported the whole way through.

I'm a Doctor of Human Nutrition and Dietetics with seven years of clinical experience across hospital, community, and digital settings. I'm HCPC-registered and a member of the British Dietetic Association.
My career has taken me from leading dietetic care for critically ill adults and children in the ICU and oncology wards of one of Pakistan's leading hospitals, to NHS clinical work in the United Kingdom — supporting patients with diabetes, gastrointestinal conditions, hypertension, and malnutrition.
Along the way I've trained in paediatric, neonatal, renal, eating disorders, and women's health nutrition. I bring all of it into the private consultations I offer through Abham Diets.
Nutrition isn't just about food. It's about culture, family, finances, and the quiet pressures we all live with. I grew up watching the women in my family manage diabetes, anaemia, and pregnancy on diets shaped by tradition — sometimes well, sometimes not. I became a dietitian because I wanted to bridge the gap between clinical evidence and real kitchens, real households, real lives.
I practise evidence-based dietetics, which means every recommendation I make is grounded in current clinical research and aligned with guidance from bodies like NICE, the BDA, and the NHS. But evidence on its own doesn't change lives — application does. So I spend a lot of our time together listening: to your routine, your culture, your budget, your barriers. The plan we build is yours, not a printout.
I'm committed to staying current with the evolving science of nutrition. Recent specialist training includes:

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome affects roughly 1 in 10 women of reproductive age, yet many are told to "just lose weight" with no further guidance. The truth is more nuanced — and far more hopeful.
PCOS isn't a one-size-fits-all condition. Some women have the classic insulin-resistant phenotype; others have inflammatory or adrenal drivers.
During your initial consultation we'll identify your specific pattern and build a plan around it — typically combining a moderate-carbohydrate Mediterranean-style approach, strategic protein and fibre, and lifestyle support around sleep and stress.
